Mr. Bagana graduated from Faculty of Law, Istanbul University. He started his career as tour leader in 1965 and worked as manager in different working areas of Tourism Industry until 1975. He established Incoming Travel Agency in 1975 and joined to Ten Tour as one of the founder and shareholder in 1980. In 1985, he started to work personally in Ten Tour. Onur Air joined with Ten Tour in 1994. He is President of Onur Air since from 1995 to 2013, Onur Air General Manager between 1999 and 2006 and between 2012 and 2013. He is Onur Air President since 2013. He speaks French, German, English and Italian.
Prof. Cheng Enfu
Chinese Academy of Social Sciences
Cheng Enfu was born in 1950 in Shanghai. He is an educator of doctoral studies, a member of National People’s Congress, academic president of the Academy of Marxism (there is also political individual responsible of such institutions in China). Cheng Enfu is a figure who the Party takes him opinions on various topics especially on economic issues by inviting him meetings. He is one of the prominent fourth generation economists in Chinese and Japonese presitgious newspapers. It is accepted that he is one of the most creative economists in China. Cheng Enfu serves various tasks as president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).
Prof. Dr. Guo Changgang
Chair of the Institute of History, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences
Guo Changgang is a Professor of History, Chair of the Institute of Global Studies, Director of the Center for Turkish Studies, and Dean of the Graduate School at Shanghai University. Guo Changgang is a Fulbright Scholar, a member of the Advisory Board of Global Studies, the Director of the Chinese Association of Religious Studies, and Vice Chair of the Shanghai Association of World History. He is also a member of the 13th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. Guo Changgang has published nine books and is the Editor in Chief of the book series Global Studies Review and the Annual Report on Turkey’s National Development.
Cem Gürdeniz graduated from the Naval Academy International Relations Department in 1979. He completed his post graduate project on ‘Personal and Education Analysis’ in Naval Postgraduate School/USA (1983-1985). He received a master’s degree from Universite Libre Bruxelles (ULB) on International Politics. He was assigned as the Commodore for the 3 Frigate Flotilla. Concluding the BH Strategy Branch in Plans and Policy Division at Turkish Naval Forces HQ, he was promoted to Rear Admiral (LH) and assumed the duty until 2005. He became Division Head for the Plans and Policy Division at Turkish Naval Forces HQ (2005-2007). Then he was posted as the Commander of the Landing Forces and by promoting to Rear Admiral (UH) to Commander of the Mine Fleet Command. He assumed the duty of Division Head of the Plans and Policy Division at Turkish Naval Forces HQ for the second time. He was arrested with false evidence in the so-called Sledgehammer Case on February 11, 2011, and was convicted for 18 years. He was freed by the Constitutional Court’s decision to retrial on 19 June 2014 and was acquitted on 9 June 2015. Admiral (R) Gürdeniz speaks French and English fluently and has 22 articles published in Turkish Navy Bulletin. He is also the author of a number of publications including Turkish Navy Handbook, Naval Terms Dictionary English/Turkish and Turkish/English and Turkish Naval Fleet (prestigious book), Cumhuriyet Donanması, Açık Denizlere Doğru Deniz Kuvvetleri, Hedefteki Donanma and Amatör Denizciler İçin Acil Durum Seyri. He is the author of the weekly column named “Mavi Vatan” in Aydınlık newspaper. He still serves as the Founding Director of Koç University Maritime Forum.
Prof. Dr. Emin Gürses
Emin Gürses was born in Rize, Turkey. He graduated from the Institute of Education (HND, Rize,1975-1977) and completed his B.Sc. at Marmara University (1980-1984). Gürses visited Hammersmith & West London College for a study program (1985-1988) and completed a Pg.Dip. Economic Development at the Polytechnic of North London (1988-1989). He holds an M.A. degree in Politics from the University of London (1989-1990) and a PhD degree in Politics & International Relations from Boğaziçi University (1991-1995). During his doctoral studies, he visited the London School of Economics between 1992 and 1994. He thought at the University of Istanbul, Department of International Relations (1997-1998). Since 1999, he has been teaching at Sakarya University and Yeditepe University as part of the Department of International Relations. Besides, he also lectured at National Security College. His articles include: ‘Paradigms in International Relations’; ‘Centrality of Central Asia’; ‘Realism and Idealism in U.S Foreign Relations’; ‘Competition vs. Security in the Balkans’; ‘Ankara Moscow Relations: From Solidarity to Containment’, ‘Geopolitical Rivalry in Eurasia, The Rise and Fall of Violent Kurdish Nationalism in Turkey”, ‘Ideological Basis and Tactics of the Organized Ethnic Terrorism: The Cases of IRA, ETA, PKK’, ‘Mackinderian Geopolitics, ‘NATO and Greater Middle Eastern Project’, published in journals. He has published several books, including ‘Anatomy of Separatist Terror: IRA, ETA, PKK(1997); Nationalist Movements and the International System(1998); and, Human Rights Diplomacy(2000), New Middle Eastern Map (2012), International Relations:Theory-Practice (2019). He is one of the specialists on intelligence and psychological warfare in Turkey.

He completed his primary and secondary education in Siirt. He graduated from Istanbul University, Business Faculty in 1976. He worked as a journalist between 1976 and 1978. He served as responsible for southeast and east of Workers’ and Peasants’ Party of Turkey and also Diyarbakır Province Head of the Party. Later he took up business. He founded Es Pharmaceutical Warehouse in 1978 and Esko Perfumery which provides serves to pharmacy in the field of cosmetics and perfumery in 1989. He also founded Hedef Pharmaceutical Warehouse in 1993. He serves as the chairman of Hedef Alliance Holding that was founded in 2001 after Hedef Pharmaceutical Warehouse had gotten into partnership with Alliance Boots. Mr. Sancak sold his holding shares and then he established a company by name Es Financial Investment Consulting. With this company, he bought BMC, manufacturer of truck, bus and military vehicle. Ethem Sancak was selected “Business Manager of the Year” in 2001 and “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2005. He was granted an award of “National Sovereignty Outstanding Service and Honor Award” by Turkish Grand National Assembly. He served the chairman of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers Association of Turkey between 2004 and 2010 and member of the board of directors of TUSIAD and president of Social Affairs Comission between 2007 and 2008. He currently is the vice chairman of Istanbul Museum of Modern Art, member of the board of directors of Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Art, member of the board of directors of TEGV (Educational Volunteers of Turkey), member of executive council of ERG (Education Reform Initiative), founding member of TUSEDAD (All Milk, Meat and Breeding Cattle Breeders Association), member of the board of trustees of TESEV (Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation), member of high advisory board of Darüşşafaka Society and member of Arbitration Board of Democracy of Justice and Development Party. Besides, he is also member of advisory board of Okan University.
Assoc. Prof. Han Zhimin
Shanghai International Studies University
Han Zhimin was born in 1969. She served as Associate Professor, and she has been teaching at Shanghai International Studies University for master’s degree. She received her master’s degree in Administrative Management from Renmin University of China in 2015. She served as guest researcher at Ankara University between November 2000 and December 2001. She has serves as a director at Shanghai International Studies University, Center for Turkish Language and Culture since 2011. Her articles were published in many national and international journals, newspapers such as Oriental Academic Forum, VI. International World Language Turkish Symposium, and Global Times. She wrote ten research reports, accepted by official authorities including Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Culture . She is also editor-in-chief two books on Turkish language.
Retired Air Pilot Major General
Mr. Karataş was born in Tokat, on 13 November 1956. He was graduated from İzmir Military Air High School, in 1973, and completed İstanbul Air Force Academy, on 30 August 1976, holding the rank of Lieutenant. Karataş, after completing his Pilot Training year 1978 in İzmir, was assigned to the 3rd Main Jet Base-Konya 132nd Squadron Command in the same year and then to the 6th Main Jet Base-Bandırma 161st Squadron Command as Wing Man, in 1979. In the year 1986 he joined the Air War College-İstanbul from where he was graduated in 1988, and served as Officer of Base Training and Operation at the 5th Main Jet Base-Merzifon and as Wing Commander at the 152nd Squadron Command. Subsequently, he worked as Foreign Courses Planning Officer at the Air Forces Command, Chief of Department of Training-Ankara between the years 1992-1995, and as the 133rd Squadron Commander at the 3rd Main Jet Base-Konya between the years 1995-1996. After his assignment as Air Attaché in Athens, in1996, and working in that post for three years 1996-1999, Karataş was assigned as the 2nd Tactical Air Force Command Chief of Operations-Diyarbakır and Operation Commander at the 6th Main Jet Base-Bandırma between the years 1999-2001 and 2001-2003, respectively He was assigned as Armed Forces Attaché in Washington DC, after promoting to the rank of Brigadier General, on 30 August 2003, between the years 2003-2005. Karataş served as the 2nd Tactical Air Force Command Chief of Staff Diyarbakır between the years 2005-2006, and the 8th Main Jet Base Commander-Diyarbakır between the years 2006-2007, after promoting to the rank of Major General, on 30 August 2007, he served as Deputy Commander of the Air Training Command-Izmir, on 13 August 2007, and assigned to the post of Deputy Undersecretary for Technology and Coordination of Turkish Minister of National Defense (TMND)-Ankara as from 2007 to 2010. Mr.Karataş was assigned as the Deputy Commander of 2nd Tactical Air Force Command-Diyarbakır between the years 2010-2012 and retired from Turkish Air Force 30 August 2012. He speaks Greek and English.
Prof. Dr. Birol Kılkış
Mr. Kilkis was born in 1949 in Ankara. He received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering with high honors from Middle East Technical University. He graduated in 1972 with an honors degree from von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics in Belgium- a NATO Research Center. He completed his master degree in 1973 and PhD degree in 1979. Dr.Kilkis who received the Science Encouragement Award from TUBİTAK in 1981 retired from the METU Mechanical Engineering Department as a professor in 1999. Currently, Dr. Kilkis is the member of ASHRAE Building Performance Metrics Steering Committee and the member of ASHRAE Research Journal Sub-Committee. ASHRAE has elevated him to Fellow Grade in 2003 due to his outstanding services and has been named distinguished lecturer. In 2008, he received Distinguished Service and Exceptional Service awards from ASHRAE. He is the author of more than 500 papers in several journals and proceedings on a large variety of topics, and has several patents pending on green buildings, solar trigeneration, heat pump coupled cogeneration, and low-exergy HVAC systems. Dr. Kilkis has been appointed to the Executive Committee membership of the European Union Solar Thermal Technologies Platform in 2015. Since his commencement of this duty in 2018, he became the Vice Chair of Renewable Heating and Cooling Committee (RHC). He also served Turkish Society of HVAC and Plumbing Engineers at a capacity of President between 2017 and 2019.
Prof. Dr. Semih Koray
Prof. Dr. Semih Koray received his Ph. D. in Mathematics from Boğaziçi University in 1980. He has several articles published in journals such as Social Choice and Welfare, Review of Economic Design, Journal of Economic Theory, Econometrica and Semigroup Forum. Koray acted as the coordinating editor-in-chief and an associate editor of Review of Economic Design, as the President and Secretary General of the Association of Southern European Economic Theorists, as the Chair of the Turkish Mathematical Olympiad Committee, as a member of the International Mathematical Olympiad Advisory Board, and as the President of the Foundation for Economic Design. Koray’s research interests focus on economic and social design, game theory and social choice theory. Koray is currently the Deputy President of the Patriotic Party – Turkey in charge of the International Relations Bureau. He also has several articles on political and social issues published in the monthly periodicals Teori and Bilim ve Ütopya, along with writing in a weekly column on Eurasian Alternative in the daily newspaper Aydınlık.
Faik Işık graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Law. He lectured one year at the Jean Monnet Institute/ European Communities Studies. He serves also as an educator on Introduction to Law and Criminal Law at the Florya Police Training Center. He became a member of Istanbul Bar Association and Union of Turkish Bar Associations on 19 April 1990. Between 1992-1998, he was appointed as the head of public relations department for ruling Welfare Party Istanbul Provincial Directorate. He advocated many civil and political cases critical for recent Turkish history. From 1994 until 2011, he had been the lawyer of President of Turkey,Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He wrote a book, The Case of Recep Tayyip Erdogan- 1998. He also holded the presidency of GAZBİR (Natural Gas Distribution Companies Associaition of Turkey). He served as vice presidency of Sıcak Yuva Foundation between 2005 and 2009. Besides, he founded Istanbul MIR Art Group. He participated in foundation and activities of many amateur sportive club and various associations and foundations including environment.
Prof. Dr. Sun Degang
Degang SUN is Professor of Political Science at the Institute of International Studies, Fudan University, Shanghai, China, and Editor-in-Chief of Asian Journal of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies (published by Routledge, Taylor & Francis). He was Professor and Deputy Director of the Middle East Studies Institute of Shanghai International Studies University, China. He was a visiting scholar at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, Harvard University (September 2018-September 2019), Senior Associate Member at St. Antony’s College, Oxford University, and an Academic Visitor to Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (2012-2013), Denver University (2007-2008) and Hong Kong University (2004-2005). His research interests are Middle Eastern politics and International Relations, great powers’ strategies in the Middle East and China’s Middle East diplomacy. His articles have been featured in journals such as Mediterranean Politics, Journal of Contemporary China and Africa Spectrum.
Prof. Dr. Yang Guang
Yang Guang studied in Beijing Foreign Language Institute, Institut des Etudes Politiques de Paris and the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and worked as visiting scholar in Wisconsin University, US. He is currently the Director-General and senior research fellow of the Institute of West-Asian and African Studies, professor and Dean of the Department for Asian-African Studies at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences supervising PhD program, President of the Chinese Association for Middle East Studies, Executive President of the Chinese Society for African Studies, Vice-President of the Chinese Society for Asian and African Studies, President of the Gulf Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and chief-editor of the academic journal West-Asian and Africa.
Chairman of Yasar Holding
Mr. Yaşar graduated from Paris-Academi Arqueille Sorbonne in 1976, New York University in 1980 and the department of Business Administration and Finance at New York-Pace University in 1981. In the same year, he began to work in Yaşar Foreign Trade Company and he worked in various positions during 8 years. Between 1988 and 1996 he served as the CFO in Yaşar Holding Company and he also served as President of the Paint-Chemicals and Beverage Groups within the Holding. Between 1997 and 2000, he held the position of Board Chairperson and CEO of Otak-Desa and Desa Energy companies. In the year 2000, he served as chairperson of the Board of Directors of Izmir Technopark, BDS Business Development Company and Yüzey Construction Company. From 1991 to 1997, Selim Yaşar served in various roles at the Assembly of the Chamber of Industry of the Aegean Region (EBSO), as Chairperson, as President and as a member of the Board of Directors. He also spent four years as Deputy Chairperson of the Aegean Industry and Business Association (ESIAD) of which he is a founding member. After serving as Deputy Chairperson of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Council, and as a member of Karşıyaka Municipal Council from 2004 to 2009, Selim Yaşar then went on to participate in a number of non-governmental organizations, where he has continued his support. From March 2014 onwards, Selim Yaşar served as Chairperson of Desa Energy, Dyo Paint and Yaşar Birleşik Pazarlama. He has been Chairperson at Yaşar Foreign Trade Company and Yaşar Holding since April 2015.
Wu Keming was born in 1939 in Shanghai. He graduated from Department of Russian at Shanghai Foreign Languages Institute and Department of Turkish at Beijing Radio Institute-Faculty of Foreign Languages. In 1964, he started to work at the People’s Republic of China Ministry of Foreing Affairs. He served as an ambassador at Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Cyprus, Chinese Embassy in Ankara, as a consul general at Istanbul Chinese Consulate General and Sydney Chinese Consulate General. Wu Keming who retired in 2002 also served as Deputy Director General of Department of Personnel in Ministry of Foreing Affairs.
