Short biography

Wang Sanyi is a professor in the Department of History, College of Liberal Arts at Shanghai University and Ph.D. student supervisor. He is also a researcher at the Center for Turkish Studies at Shanghai University. He is a member of the Association of Modern History of the World in China and the Association of the Middle East Studies in China. His major research fields include Modern and Contemporary History of the World, History of Empires, and History of the Middle East. He has published several books such as Research on the Late Ottoman Empire (1792-1918), On Britain's Mandate over the Middle East, Challenges of the Industrial Civilization and Economic Transition in the Middle East (1809-1938), The Road of Turkey, and more.
