Biography

Jessica Durdu is a foreign affairs specialist with extensive expertise in Türkiye–China relations and international diplomacy, and a PhD candidate in International Relations at the China Foreign Affairs University. In the scope of her role within the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, she has gained broad experience in diplomatic and strategic analysis by contributing to high-level policy reports, speech drafts, and international presentations. She has prepared and presented national-level strategy documents to the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and the Government, addressing both domestic development processes and international diplomatic initiatives. In addition, she regularly writes in-depth analyses for leading news agencies, with her assessments of Türkiye–China relations receiving particular acclaim. She also works as a strategist for think tanks and public institutions, producing visionary strategic reports that address the most current and critical issues in global politics and the global economy. Her academic background includes a master’s degree in Political Science from Middle East Technical University (METU); bachelor’s degrees in Global and International Relations completed with first rank and high honors at METU (Türkiye) and the State University of New York (USA); as well as a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Atatürk University. Her professional achievements are further strengthened by her patented projects, chosen to represent her country, and numerous international awards. Thanks to her academic and professional expertise, she stands out as a respected voice in international panels and discussions on global diplomacy and economic cooperation. Professional in English and Turkish, advanced in Chinese, and possessing beginner-level proficiency in Japanese, German, and French, Durdu combines her linguistic skills with a deep understanding of global politics and strong intercultural communication experience to contribute to the advancement of Türkiye–China relations and to critical foreign policy debates.
