Li Ning is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at the School of History, Culture, and Tourism, Zunyi Normal University, and an Adjunct Researcher at the Turkish Studies Center, Shanghai University. He received his Ph.D. in World History from Shanghai University in 2021, specializing in regional and national history and urban cultural history. He has published multiple papers in journals such as History Teaching and World History Review. Currently, he leads the National Social Science Fund project “Research on Istanbul’s Urban Population and Their Daily Life (1856–1923).”

Yang Xuyan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at the School of History, Culture, and Tourism, Zunyi Normal University, and the corresponding author of this paper. His research focuses on the history of China’s ethnic groups and cultural heritage management. He has published numerous academic papers in core journals, and several of his research reports have received approvals and been adopted by provincial and ministerial-level leaders.
