Prof. Dr. Ekşi served as the principal investigator for the TÜBİTAK international project titled "A Comparative Analysis of Turkish and Slovenian Laws on the Mechanisms for the Resolution of Disputes Concerning Cultural Property.” She has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences on the protection of cultural and natural property. Her book Dispute Resolution Mechanisms Concerning Cultural Property in National and International Law was published by Beta Publishing in 2024. She served as chief editor of Cultural Property from the Perspective of Different Legal Disciplines, published by Beta Publishing, with a second edition in progress. She is also among the editors of Law, Humanities and Tourism: Interdisciplinary Approaches to the Restitution of Cultural Heritage, published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. Additionally, she is the chief editor of Protecting Cultural Property: Multiple Mechanisms for a Single Objective, published by Springer in 2026. Her article Private International Law as a Toolkit for Extraterritorial Refuge of Endangered Cultural Property appeared in the Santander Art and Culture Law Review.
