Biography

Mr. Zentürk completed his secondary education at Eskişehir Maarif College, his undergraduate studies at Marmara University Faculty of Political Sciences and his postgraduate studies at Istanbul University Political Science Department. He started his journalism career at Hürriyet Newspaper (1977) as a proofreading service employee. He worked as foreign news editor at Tercüman, Güneş and Sabah newspapers, and as foreign news editor and Ankara Representative at Günaydın newspaper. In all the newspapers he worked for, he also worked as a columnist specialising in foreign policy. He continued his columnist work at Dünya newspaper.

He started his career in television broadcasting with the establishment of HBB TV (1992), after which he worked as Ankara Representative and Editor-in-Chief of Star TV. He worked as editor-in-chief and general coordinator at Kanal D and Kanal 6, and worked as Ankara Representative and then as a programmer at the establishment of Kanal 24.

In the TV sector, he made the programmes Red Seat / Capital Ankara (Star TV), Polemik / Hot Agenda (Kanal D) Strategy (Kanal 6), and finally he was the producer and host of Moderator Night on Kanal 24 for seven years.
Throughout his professional life, he served as a war correspondent during the Karabakh, Bosnia and Kosovo wars, and followed the cross-border operations of the Turkish Armed Forces and developments in Palestine and Lebanon.
He made the documentaries Borders and People (TRT) and Flight Point (THY).

As of 2020, he left the mainstream media sector, continues his foreign policy video-analyses on his eponymous Youtube channel, and is the Editor-in-Chief of M5, Turkey's 48-year-old defence and strategy magazine.
