Dr. Tülin Uygur was born in Istanbul in 1956. In 1978, she graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Business Administration. In 1981, she completed her master’s degree in economics at the same university. In 2013, she completed her PhD at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Political Science and International Relations. He took courses on “Central Asia” and "Big Society, Minorities and Immigrants” at Stockholm University in Sweden. For many years she worked with youth and women at the Social Services Organization of the Municipality of Stockholm. She is the author of two books, “Güney Amerika ve Küba” and “I. Dünya Savaşı’nda Esir Türkler”. She is fluent in English, Swedish; speaks Norwegian and Danish at reading comprehension level.
