Ding Xiaoqin, born in 1977, is a professor, doctoral advisor, doctor of economics, post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He is the deputy director of the Institute for Marxism Studies and the Center for Economic Studies of the Shanghai School of Economics. He is also the Dean of the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and serves as the Deputy Director of the China-Specific Socialist Political Economy Research Center. He is a lecturer at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief at Shanghai School of Economics (CSSCI). He is the General Secretary of the World Political Economy Association and the Executive Director of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a part-time researcher at the World Socialist Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Economic Innovation Think Tank of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the Doctrine Research Center for Foreign Economics at Peking University. He is a research fellow at Harvard University's Center for Asia and a visiting professor at the University of Maryland, College Park Department of Government and Policy.
He has published articles in journals such as "People's Daily", "The Guangming Daily", "Economic Daily", "Marxism Research", "Marxism and Reality", "World Economy", "Economics Dynamics", "Foreign Social Sciences", "Contemporary World", "Academic Monthly", "Financial Research", "The Economist". He has been invited for academic visits and academic talks to universities and scientific research institutions in more than 40 countries.
