Faik Işık graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Law. He lectured one year at the Jean Monnet Institute/ European Communities Studies. He serves also as an educator on Introduction to Law and Criminal Law at the Florya Police Training Center. He became a member of Istanbul Bar Association and Union of Turkish Bar Associations on 19 April 1990. Between 1992-1998, he was appointed as the head of public relations department for ruling Welfare Party Istanbul Provincial Directorate. He advocated many civil and political cases critical for recent Turkish history. From 1994 until 2011, he had been the lawyer of President of Turkey,Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He wrote a book, The Case of Recep Tayyip Erdogan- 1998. He also holded the presidency of GAZBİR (Natural Gas Distribution Companies Associaition of Turkey). He served as vice presidency of Sıcak Yuva Foundation between 2005 and 2009. Besides, he founded Istanbul MIR Art Group. He participated in foundation and activities of many amateur sportive club and various associations and foundations including environment.
